My teaching is rooted in relying on the body's natural instincts. Combining my previous training in Linklater, Alexander Technique, Lessac Kinesensic Training, classical voice, musical threatre voice, and various styles of dance, creates a diverse toolbox for me to help my students embrace their voices.
I mentor and coach my students, tailoring lessons to individual goals. Music is a unique gift, and my role as a teacher is to nurture creativity and curiosity while teaching healthy singing. My goal is to empower singers to be expressive across genres.
My pedagogy and voice science-based education informs my approach, emphasizing vocal function, addressing weaknesses, and promoting vocal health. I prioritize a student's goals and use scientific knowledge to help them reach their ideal sound. I believe that science should enhance, not hinder, art.
Singing is a lifelong journey, and I encourage students to embrace the process of singing. The teacher-student relationship is built on a willingness to understand and trust, and I cherish the privilege of guiding singers on their vocal journey.
